The Vortex Venom Red Dot makes shooting a rifle, pistol or shotgun as lightning-fast as the action of deadly venom.
Such fast target acquisition is ensured by a compact design, wide field of view and a 3 MOA or 6 MOA dot (depending on the version of the red dot).
The solid construction allows the use of this red dot on any type of firearm without any caliber restrictions.
For your convenience, the CR1632 quick battery replacement system has been designed – now you can do it without removing the red dot sight from the unit!
The brightness adjustment knob and the switch have been placed to precisely change the collimator settings.

Let me tell you…. if you have ANY issue with tour product, SEND IT IN… they will fix or replace, for FREE! VIP Warranty is the best in the business. Yes, sometimes it’s a hassle, but in the long run VORTEX products are worth it. So, off the soap box and onto my review.
Perfect back up product to my long range AR10 (.308) with a VORTEX BDC Reticle for .308. No need for flip up sights, just a 45 degree mount and instant back up/CQB sight. my Venom is 6MOA as my purpose is to use for immediate CQB. I have used at very close range and out to 100 yards with excellent results. Pretty darn good for taking the abuse of my .308. holding zero. Very pleased.
Will continue to buy VORTEX as I have had issues with other big named brands both at home and used by my Department. At some point everything has the potential to have a problem. VORTEX will fix or replace your item no questions no fuss. What’s not to like about that!

Venom 3 moa review
I bought this for my walther q5. Bolted on with no problems using the doctor plate. Build quality is good.
Sighting in was very straight forward. Accuracy was incredible. The RO commented that this combo of walther and vortex sight was more acurate than their open gun.
The only thing i would change would be the ability to set an upper and lower threshold for the auto brightness. I really wanted to use this feature, but it seems to default to being too bright even in overcast conditions causing flare and distortion of the dot. This means i need to abandon the auto brightness and manually set for the relevant lighting conditions.
