Vortex Venom 5-25×56 FFP Riflescope EBR-7C Reticle mrad
The scope from the new Venom line combines high quality optics, reliable mechanics, functionality similar to the Strike Eagle series and a price unparalleled in this product class.
The biggest advantages of the Venom are the EBR-7C FPP reticle, 34 mm tube, large magnification range, and the RevStop Zero System that allows you to easily return to the initial settings.
Vortex Venom 5-25×56 FFP perfectly bridges the product gap between the Diamondback Tactical and Strike Eagle models, offering everything that every long-range shooter needs to make an accurate shot at a distance of 1000 m.
Long range rifle scope
Vortex Venom 5-25×56 FFP 34 mm EBR-7C is designed for shooters looking for optics that will allow them to start their adventure with long-range shooting in a professional and pocket-friendly manner.
Vortex Venom offers professional solutions, precise mechanics, reliable operation and a lifetime VIP guarantee.
Add to this the excellent XD optics, precise first focal plane reticle, side parallax adjustment and low-profile turrets with a quick reset system, we get a proven tool for precision shooting at an affordable price.
34 mm tube
The single-piece tube is made of 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, thus ensuring resistance to recoil, corrosion and mechanical damage.
The anodized tube has a highly durable anti-reflective finish to prevent scratching and abrasion.
Precise sealing and filling the optics with dry nitrogen, completely eliminates the problem of internal fogging of the lenses and provides IPX7 protection, as a result the telescope is resistant to rain, snow and immersion in water.
The tube with a diameter of 34 mm allows for an increased range of vertical adjustment (85 MOA or 25 MRAD), enabling shooting at long distances.
The outer lenses are covered with a hard Armortek coating that protects against scratches, dirt, moisture and oils.
Such construction means that the telescope can be safely used in all weather conditions, without fear of damage to the optics.
The 388 mm long rifle scope has a relatively low weight of 992 g.
Vortex Venom 5-25×56 FFP 34 mm EBR-7C uses XD lenses that guarantee high resolution, sharpness from edge to edge, faithful color reproduction and a bright image without distortions resulting from chromatic aberration.
XD lenses are made of glass with a low dispersion coefficient, which results in excellent resolution and contrast.
Another advantage of this type of glass is its relatively low density, which makes the optics lighter.
The parameter that distinguishes Venom from the competition is high light transmission, which affects the brightness of the image even in unfavorable lighting conditions.
All air-to-glass surfaces have multi-layer anti-reflective coatings, thanks to which we can see a sharp and bright image of the target even at the maximum magnification of 25x.
The EBR-7C reticle
Hash-marked ranging reticle using MOA or MRAD based subtension lines for ranging, holdover, and windage corrections.
Letters refer to reticle subtensions listed in chart below.

Reticle Manual (PDF) Download
The FPP (first focal plane) reticle changes its size depending on the magnification, enabling comfortable reading and precise corrections.
The field of view at 100 m ranges from 7.1 m (5 × magnification) to 1.6 m (25 × magnification).
The large eyerelief (91 mm) allows you to shoot in corrective lenses, reduces eye fatigue and protects the shooter from recoil of the weapon.
The EBR-7C reticle is a versatile FFP reticle, ideal for long range shooters, soldiers and law enforcement.
To ensure maximum resistance and reliability of the optical system, the reticle was etched with a laser and secured with two layers of glass.
The EBR-7c reticle is specially designed for long-range shooting.
The grid allows you to precisely determine the distance, compensate for precipitation, apply wind correction and calculate the parameters of a moving target.
- First focal plane reticle allows for an accurate reading at every magnification,
- markers on the horizontal beams for wind corrections (every 1 MOA / 0.2 MRAD),
- bold markers under the horizontal bar that allow you to make corrections when shooting at moving targets at low magnification (every 2 MOA / 0.5 MRAD),
- the aiming point in the form of a small dot facilitates a perfect hit.
The side parallax knob allows you to smoothly compensate for the parallax error (point of view error affecting the aiming point) in tearing your eyes off the target.
The parallax correction allows you to precisely adjust the sharpness of the image depending on the distance at which you shoot.
Tactical exposed turrets with the RevStop zero system
Exposed, low-profile turrets with knurled rings allow you to change settings also in tactical gloves.
The turret click moves the 1/4 MOA (or 0.1 MRAD) reticle, the full range of reticle adjustment is 85 MOA / 25 MRAD vertically and horizontally.
The RevStop Zero System mechanism allows you to quickly restore the initial settings.
For the shooter, this means that he is free to apply corrections and return to the original zero point at any time.

Great precision Scope!
Finally Vortex has come out with the Venom Line! So I just had to drop one on my Bergara B14HMR-6.5 Creedmoor. This scope helps fill the gap between the Diamondback Tactical which I own and greatly enjoy and the Viper line which is just out of my price range. This Scope features a 56mm objective and a 34mm main tube which let’s in alot of light even on a cold, rainy, overcast day. The clarity is quite a bit better than my Diamondback tactical and with the 34mm main tube has a lot more adjustment. It has large parallax, elevation and windage knobs with positive and audible clicks . I have come to love the EBR-7C MRAD reticle they have moved the numbering from the center to the outside to declutter the inside of the reticle and it worked. This reticle offers a lot of information once you learn to use it properly. The scope was easy to sight in and passed the box test for turrent repeatability no problem. One nice feature is the RevStop Zero which works perfectly with no problems and makes for an easy return to zero every time. I would recommend this scope for anyone wanting to get into long range shooting without spending a Fortune on Great Optics. Once again Vortex comes thru on Clarity, ease of use, ruggedness and the best warranty in the buisness!
